Nature of Activities performed
- Analyzing (Feasibility and System), designing the solution and proposing system architecture, developing, installing, testing and implementation of the Web-based system.
- System integrating hardware, networking architecture and other infrastructures to support system.
- All technical and operational documentation
- Training (Operational and Technical) to staff of NRB.
- Post-implementation warranty, Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) and ongoing support till the completion of the 5th Household Budget survey.
- Include the Business Continuity Plan to run the system in case of disasters.
- Database Mining, Administration, Performance Tuning.
Description of Actual Services Provided by HARATI
To analysis, design, development, installation, testing, implementation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art Household Budget Survey System. The system collects information related to household income and expenditure for updating the basket of goods and services, and weighting basis of Consumer Price Index at national and regional level. The main aim of the survey is to analyze household expenditures pattern and evaluate how they are distributed among different goods and services. The survey will be conducted all over the country and amongst the sample selected as per the sample design.
Nepal Rastra Bank is carrying out 5th Household Budget Survey to collect information related to household income and expenditure for updating the basket of goods and services, and weighting basis of Consumer Price Index at national and regional level. The main aim of the survey is to analyze household expenditures pattern and evaluate how they are distributed among different goods and services. The survey will be conducted all over the country and amongst the sample selected as per the sample design.
The sampling frame consists of 84 Market Centres (MC) which are divided into 27 Analytical domains (Strata) in different Ecological Regions (ER) and Development Regions (DR) from 56 districts. The total sample would be 8028 households from all market centers. The sample of 8028 households will be selected from amongst ten times more household from the same strata and by using systematic approach. Main Project office has been established in Kathmandu and Regional Offices at Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddarthnagar, Nepalgunj and Dhangadi.

Survey is done on house hold and from respective house hold's expense and income sheets are collected which is uploaded in our system by the general user. General User's then verify their uploaded data which is then approved by Site Administrator. After site administrator has approved the data, central administrator's publish them and the data is then applicable for report generation.
Report on most superficial level is done strata wise and the most core level report is house hold wise reporting. Reports generated are according to expense and quantity of the commodities purchased by the house hold's. The main purpose of survey is to calculate the inflation rate.
